While all three approaches are similar in terms of supporting personal growth, they have distinct formats, focuses and purposes. Here at CCMCS, we provide all three, enabling our clients to find the method that best suits their personalities and needs. The main aim is still self-improvement.
Counselling takes place in formal, set, regular sessions. Decision-making is down to yourself, and the aim is to enable you to overcome emotional or psychological challenges, through a range of therapeutic techniques. I provide counselling in Bromley and online, to a wide range of clients.
Coaching is about helping you to achieve your goals, and identifying strengths and weaknesses that can be worked on. Together we can identify strategies to help your future self and maximise your potential.
Mentoring is slightly less formal, and is a relationship-based process where you receive support, guidance, and insight to help you navigate your personal or professional journey. Typically, the mentoring takes place over months and even years, facilitating your personal growth.
This technique allows you to calm the mind and find inner balance, and help you to visualise your goals, as well as exploring various aspects of your inner psyche. The sessions allow you to follow verbal instructions, helping with relaxation and focussing attention. As a result you will usually experience improved focus and concentration, reduced stress, and heightened creativity.
Guided meditation can cover a wide range of themes and intentions, such as mindfulness, stress reduction, self-compassion, gratitude, emotional healing, or visualisation. The purpose of guided meditation is to help individuals cultivate a state of deep relaxation, develop mindfulness, and explore their inner landscape.
